Unnamed streamers, part 1

This collection of unnamed streamer patterns by Carrie G. Stevens is from the beginning of my research, back in 2013. At the time, the only starting points I had available were the poster “Carrie Stevens Rangeley Favorite Trout and Salmon Flies” by Paul Schmookler and Ingrid Sils, and a few photographs containing of a handful of unnamed streamers in the book Carrie G. Stevens Maker of Rangeley Favorite Trout and Salmon Flies by Graydon R. Hilyard and Leslie Hilyard. Letters were sent to the curators of American Museum of Fly Fishing and the Rangeley Outdoor Heritage Museum, requesting permission to access Carrie Stevens flies in their collections. Some internet searches yielded several unnamed Stevens streamers listed on auctions of antique fishing tackle. From there, the search for Carrie Stevens unnamed, unknown, or unusual streamers broadened, eventually resulting in the overall collection of about 180 streamer patterns.
